Celestica’s AI Growth Story

Kai Lam Discusses Investment Opportunities on BNN Bloomberg

In a recent appearance on BNN, Kai Lam explained an opportunity in the Canadian technology sector.

Toronto-based Celestica is emerging as a major beneficiary of the artificial intelligence boom, delivering impressive financial results as technology giants continue investing heavily in AI infrastructure.

Appearing on BNN Bloomberg’s Trading Day with host Christine Lee, JCIC Asset Management Chief Investment Officer Kai Lam discussed Celestica’s exceptional quarterly performance and the outlook for continued growth.

Celestica reported an 83% increase in quarterly revenue, while earnings per share more than doubled. The company also raised its 2026 guidance and introduced an ambitious outlook for 2027.

Lam highlighted the strength of that forecast, which anticipates 90% growth in 2027, accelerating from the 69% growth projected for 2026.

Driving this momentum is demand from hyperscale technology companies, including Alphabet, Meta and Amazon, alongside emerging AI leaders such as OpenAI. As these companies expand their computing capabilities, Celestica is positioned to benefit from continued investment in the infrastructure supporting AI.

The company has also signalled expectations for meaningfully higher results in 2028, suggesting its growth opportunity could extend well beyond the current year.

However, Lam acknowledged an important question surrounding the AI investment boom: whether the enormous spending on computing infrastructure can be sustained when many AI companies are still reporting significant losses.

He suggested that investor appetite for future AI funding, including a potential Anthropic IPO, will provide an important test.

For investors, Celestica represents an opportunity to participate in AI infrastructure growth, supported by strong earnings momentum and accelerating demand.
