A lifetime member of the Law Society of Ontario with 50 years of combined legal and investment expertise, Stephen brings a multi-disciplinary perspective to JCIC. As a founder and lead investor, he specializes in the complex intersection of taxation, estate planning, and private business ventures.

Operational Expertise
Aaron joined JCIC in 2007, bringing a sophisticated understanding of the investment lifecycle to the firm’s leadership. His twenty-year career includes pivotal roles for a major Canadian custodian, a hedge-fund administrator, and an institutional investment management firm. This breadth of experience allows him to manage JCIC’s back-office and processing operations with institutional-grade rigor.
Aaron’s professional approach was further shaped by his service with the Canadian Armed Forces in a peacekeeping role—an experience that instilled the decisiveness and strategic focus he applies to JCIC’s compliance and operating framework today.
Professional Distinctions
A recognized leader in the industry, Aaron is a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI) and holds the Canadian Investment Manager designation. He remains deeply involved in the evolving regulatory landscape as an active member of the Operations Head and Compliance Group with the Investment Counsel Association of Canada.
Education & Personal
Aaron earned an Honours B.A. in International Development and Business from Trent University. Outside of the office, he is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys sailing, hiking, and skiing, alongside time spent with his family and his dog.
