Our Community

Our Community

Just as we believe in diversifying our investment approach, we view our commitment to the community with a similar perspective.

We emphasize involvement with local organizations, through intersections in arts and culture, education, healthcare and social services.

As a small company, we engage with causes important to our employees and clients, supporting charities that have impacted their lives, or are particularly important to them.

WAYS WE gIVE

We provide financial support to organizations that are in need of assistance. We emphasize local charities with targeted donations that we feel will provide impactful change.

One of our longstanding commitments is to the Toronto Summer Music Festival, where we host an annual client appreciation event and have remained a major sponsor since the organization’s launch. TSM, as an organization dedicated to fostering the careers of young musicians, shares our own beliefs in investing for the future.

We have also provided financial support to the McMichael Canadian Art Collection, The Scott Mission, Children's Book Bank, Women’s College Hospital Foundation and CAMH.

We foster and encourage employee involvement in charitable and community organizations, through board membership, directorship, and volunteering.

Our employees have served as members of the board for Dixon Hall, Alpine Canada, Partners for Mental Health, the Montreal General Hospital and the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair’s Ring Committee. We are grateful for their commitment to bettering their own communities separate from JCIC, and are proud of their accomplishments.

JCIC further works as a company to actively give back to the community as a collective, completing monthly "challenges" to donate to the community.

We understand the needs of charities for conservative, responsible investing, and think our investment services, which include both segregated and pooled fund offerings, can meet the needs of foundations for both investment returns and client service.                         We return 10% of management fees paid by our foundation clients as charitable donations.
